Day 1 of Vacation - Our Cat the Hero?

So first day of vacation and all is well and semi-relaxing. Here's how my first day went...

7ish AM - Gene was getting ready for work and I woke up...he told me that he ran into one of our neighbor's Pam when he was walking the girls this morning.  I know we never mention our cat Charlie, but we've had him since he broke out of his cage at Special Pals in 1999/2000.   Since we've moved to our house we live now he kinda became an inside/outside cat.  He comes in when he pleases, but mainly lives outside.  He goes on walks with us, hangs out on the front porch a lot and just wanders where he pleases.  Well, Pam was telling us that the other day a dog got off it's leash and ran and attacked another dog. Well they where going at it and out of no where Charlie appears and pounces on them and breaks up the fight and then runs off.  That's my boy :o)

10ish - I get moving around and notice that Ryan has called me 3 times...so I decided to call.  I had to walk him through something on my computer...NO MORE WORK :o)

11 - I went to Tuesday Morning and found nothing and I went to Kirklands, still nothing.  I decided to go a movie instead.

12:20 - showed up late to "The Rocker", but I didn't miss anything. That movie was so funny. I love Rainn Wilson!  Comedic genius.

2:30 - walked around West Oaks Mall.  Not the same mall I use to go to...Before Memorial City was redesigned and made the amazing mall it is today, we use to go to West Oaks Mall all the time. Now there is very little there I want to see.  I like Alamo Drafthouse (movie theater) and that's about it now.  People have TRASHED the place now. There were some nice leather chairs for people to sit in and now the arms are all cut up. Not cool.

3:30 - went bookstore shopping...I miss books.  I never get to read anything (especially when I'm in school), so I am going to do a bunch of reading this week.  Book count 6 for me!!! The ones I am most excited about reading are The 19th Wife and Waiter Rants. I bought Gene a book on the great storm of 1900 (A Weekend in September).  

After Barnes & Noble, I had frantic work e-mails...Last day I'm looking at my work e-mails!! I am on VACATION!! :o)

All in all, I'm having a great relaxing day, even with a little work thrown in.  Tomorrow is the day we head out to Rockport!  I am so super excited about getting away!!!
