When Ashley and I were planning our trip to Galveston we knew that we HAD to include a massage/spa in the weekend. The last time I stayed at the Hotel Galvez, our room overlooked part of the spa and since I had heard the spa was amazing I figured we should totally try it out.
All I can say is O.M.G. -- that was the best spa I had ever been to!!! The facilities were top notch and so were their employees. EVERYONE had a smile on their face and were completely helpful at every step of the way!
Both Ashley and I got a massage (her a maternity one and me a deep tissue)...they were divine. I have never been to a place that had a hydraulic massage table! Seriously. It was awesome. The sheets and blankets were so soft and the bed was amazingly comfortable. The 50 minutes flew by super fast.
Our favorite place to just hang out was the relaxation room...there you got complimentary champagne, fruity water, a neckwrap, cucumbers for your eyes and comfy chairs with blankets. It was extremely relaxing (thus the name) and very peaceful. Of course this was only when people were not on their cell phones...apparently when I left for another treatment, some chick was on the phone to her mom thanking her for being born...yeah. I'm glad they left right after I got back in the room...I might have had to go all zen on them {ha}.
I wound up getting another treatment that was a hydrotherapy bath...so amazing. It's like you are in this whirlpool tub with wonderful scents. It was very invigorating and I am glad I added it on!
Everything about the Hotel Galvez Spa was amazing and both of us cannot wait to go back! I think this has to be the best spa in the whole Houston area!

That sounds extremely lovely. I haven't had a massage in awhile! Hubs and I were supposed to get a couples one on our honeymoon, but it never worked out.
