recent reads...

have I mentioned how much I love my kindle?? I do! I have been reading a lot of books I wouldn't normally read since I can get a lot of books for free {they usually wind up being romance or the first in a series}...Here are some of the books I've read in March.

A Reliable Wife by Robert Goolrick - I loved this book. It was on the NY Times list and it seemed interesting so I purchased it. I really liked the style of writing and it was a quick read and I loved seeing how the story progressed and I was actually intrigued the whole book. It was a love story, a mystery and very suspenseful...some people in the reviews of the book did not like the passion that this book described {saying it was unbelievable}, I however found it extremely believable and really enjoyed reading it.
Talk of the Town by Lisa Wingate - I think this is another book that has a series...this one, however, I will probably be buying the entire series. I found this book entertaining and not as predictable as I was expecting it to be. The setting is in a super-small Texas town and while they have wonderful little "Texas" sayings like " " and " "that had me rolling, the rest is very indicative of the closeness of a small town. This is a super quick read {I was done with it in a day} and I was not wanting to put it down.

The Shunning by Beverly Lewis - It was a quick read. I enjoy reading about Amish people. Their lifestyle is so simple. It's an interesting read, however it is a very predictable book. There are 3 more in the series, but I am not willing to pay $8 per book to find out what happened.
Waiter Rant by Steve Dublanica - I loved this book...it gave great insight into the inner-workings of a restaurants. I enjoyed reading about the customer and how a waiter really feels about a patron. I found this book very fun and I really think that anyone who eats out should read it!
Service Included by Phoebe Damrosch - HUGELY disappointed in this book. It was one that was recommended if you like Waiter Rant. I found this book to be quite boring and I did not like the main character. I guess I went in to this one with too high of hopes...

Right now I'm reading Bride Most Begrudging by Deeanne Gist. I am enjoying it immensely. I will review it completely after I am done.

I got two of these books free on my Kindle. I really want to read A Reliable Wife, I heard it was a good book.

I can't wait until we share books! :) I just bought The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, I heard that was a good one as well.

And today I just finished The Last Song. So good! I love Nicholas Sparks.

I think you and I have similar taste in books, these all look great! I think I remember seeing the Texas one at a bookstore once and flipping through it. I'm reading Time Traveler's Wife right now and can't put it down, so good!
